Laos, Thailand to enhance cooperation in cross-border drug smuggling crackdown

VIENTIANE, July 1 (Xinhua) -- Representatives from the Lao Ministry of Public Security and the Committee on Laws, Justice and Police Affairs of the Thai Senate met to strengthen cooperation in combating cross-border drug smuggling and advancing a drug-free, safer future for both nations.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitments to achieve a drug-free border region and improve the quality of life for their citizens, according to the Lao Security News.
