Ethiopia earns 2.44 bln USD from coffee export in 11 months

ADDIS ABABA, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Ethiopia has exported 409,000 tonnes of coffee in the past 11 months, earning 2.44 billion U.S. dollars in revenue, the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA) said Friday.

Speaking at a press briefing, ECTA Deputy Director General Shafi Umer said that the country has produced 1.1 million tonnes of coffee in this fiscal year, marking a significant increase compared to previous years.
