Pakistan issues flood, rain alerts

ISLAMABAD, June 26 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Thursday issued multi-region alerts for potential flooding and rain-related disruptions as widespread monsoon activity intensified across the country.

According to the NDMA, heavy rainfall accompanied by windstorms and thunderstorms was expected in several regions between June 26 and 28, raising the risk of urban flooding, flash floods, and landslides.
