105 Rwandans rescued from human trafficking

KIGALI, June 2 (Xinhua) -- At least 105 Rwandans were rescued from human trafficking from June 2024 to May this year, authorities announced on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference in Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, Thierry Murangira, spokesperson of the Rwanda Investigation Bureau, said the majority of the victims had been trafficked to different countries, while 57 were intercepted before being flown out of the country.
