Latvian finance expert warns U.S. tariffs to slow growth, fuel inflation


RIGA, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Effects from the "Tariff war" launched by U.S. President Donald Trump will be felt in all spheres of life, including finance, and will result in sweeping price hikes, Uldis Cerps, head of Finance Latvia Association, has warned.

In an interview with the public radio station LR4 on Tuesday, Cerps predicted that the era of interest rate cuts may be coming to an end, with rates possibly rising again.
