Crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Monday.

The West Texas Intermediat for May delivery dropped 1.29 U.S. dollars, or 2.08 percent, to settle at 60.70 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for June delivery lost 1.37 dollars, or 2.09 percent, to settle at 64.21 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
