ABIDJAN, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- A recent report by the Abidjan-based African Development Bank (AfDB), titled Africa's Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook, forecasts Cote d'Ivoire's real gross domestic product (GDP) growth to average 6.3 percent in 2025 and 2026.

The report, obtained by Xinhua on Tuesday, also projects the country's inflation rate to average 2.9 percent during the same period, remaining below the 3 percent threshold set by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO).

The AfDB's analysis further highlights regional growth projections for 2025 and 2026: West Africa is expected to grow at 4.6 percent and 4.5 percent, Central Africa at 3.9 percent and 4.1 percent, North Africa at 3.9 percent and 4.2 percent, and Southern Africa at 3.0 percent and 3.1 percent.

East Africa, however, is anticipated to lead the continent with an average GDP annual growth rate of 5.7 percent (5.3 percent and 6.1 percent), solidifying its position as the top-performing economic region.

Overall, the report estimates Africa's aggregate GDP growth to average 4.25 percent (4.1 percent and 4.4 percent) over the two-year period.
