300,000 visitors celebrate New Year at Qatar's Lusail City


DOHA, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Qatar's Lusail City welcomed 300,000 visitors for its 2025 New Year's Eve celebrations at Lusail Boulevard, the city's management announced on Wednesday.

"300,000 visitors joined us for an unforgettable celebration of 2025. Thank you to everyone who made this night unforgettable!" Lusail City's management said in a post on X.

The event attracted a diverse audience, including Qataris, expatriates, and foreign tourists, with a notable presence from Gulf countries.

Since its opening during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Lusail Boulevard has become a landmark destination for major events in Qatar. It gained prominence after hosting the victory parade of Argentina's World Cup-winning team and has continued to serve as Qatar's center of New Year celebrations for the second consecutive year.
