RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's health continues to improve after two emergency surgeries earlier this month to treat and prevent bleeding in his head, his medical team said in a statement on Tuesday.

Lula underwent a CT scan on Tuesday which showed progressive improvement consistent with the president's "excellent condition," said the medical team treating the leftist leader at the Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Brasilia.
