Crude futures settle higher


NEW YORK, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices climbed on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for January delivery gained 1.27 U.S. dollars, or 1.81 percent, to settle at 71.29 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for February delivery added 1.08 dollars, or 1.47 percent, to settle at 74.49 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
