ISLAMABAD, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's exports increased by 8.98 percent in November 2024 on a year-on-year basis as compared to the same period last year, according to official statistics.

The data presented on the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) website revealed on Thursday that Pakistan's trade performance showed a mix of improvements and challenges in the last month as compared to November 2023.

The country's exports stood at 2.80 billion U.S. dollars compared to the same period last year when the figure was 2.57 billion U.S. dollars.

However, Pakistan experienced slight declines in both exports and imports in November 2024 compared to October 2024, resulting in a minor shift in the trade deficit.

On the import side, Pakistan's imports also fell by 2.92 percent in November 2024 against the 4.52 billion dollars recorded in November 2023, while on a month-on-month basis, the imports were also reduced by 3.83 percent.
