DEBRECEN, Hungary, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- China's leading battery maker, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), announced on Wednesday that it will start producing battery cells at its new facility in Hungary's second-largest city Debrecen next year.
The new plant, located in Debrecen's Southern Industrial Park, will be CATL's second battery manufacturing site in Europe, with a planned annual capacity of 100 GWh.
