Cultural development issues discussed at St. Petersburg int'l culture forum


ST. PETERSBURG, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- The 10th St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum is taking place in Russia's second-largest city, gathering about 1,700 representatives from Russia and abroad.

The theme of this year's forum, which runs from Sept. 11 to 14, is "Culture of the XXI century: sovereignty or globalism?" Dozens of panel discussions and round-table meetings are held under the framework, covering topics such as cultural heritage protection, national identity building, and the application of artificial intelligence in culture and art.

In addition, the forum includes a wide range of cultural events such as concerts, exhibitions, and festivals.

The forum, organized by the government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the government of Saint Petersburg, is one of the largest platforms discussing current issues in cultural life in Russia.
