PARIS, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) -- Olympic debutant Julien Alfred sprinted to the women's 100m top podium with a national-record time of 10.72 seconds in the Paris 2024 Games at the Stade de France on Saturday.

The 23-year-old beat top-ranked Sha'Carri Richardson of the United States to the second place by 0.15 seconds, while the latter's fellow American Melissa Jefferson finished third with 0.05 seconds further back.
