7 killed in armed attack in northeast Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, June 20 (Xinhua) -- At least seven people were killed and two injured early Thursday morning when armed assailants attacked a celebration at a town square in Brazil's northeast Ceara state, Military Police confirmed.

Images captured by security cameras overlooking the square in the town of Vicosa do Ceara show several vehicles arrive at the scene, armed suspects get out and force several people to put their hands on their heads.
