Canada's unemployment rate ticks up to 6.2 pct in May

OTTAWA, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Canada's unemployment rate increased 0.1 percentage points to 6.2 percent in May, Statistics Canada said Friday.

The unemployment rate has trended up since April 2023, rising 1.1 percentage points over the period, the national statistical agency said.
