2 shot during high school graduation ceremony in U.S. Oakland

SAN FRANCISCO, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Two adults were injured by gunshots during a high school graduation ceremony Thursday evening in Oakland, U.S. state of California, according to police.

A man and a woman were shot while the graduation ceremony at Skyline High School in Oakland was taking place, according to a statement from the Oakland Police Department.

The two victims were taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Authorities are investigating reports that a dispute preceded the shooting but no motive of the shooting was disclosed.

Police said that it appears to be an isolated incident and there are multiple suspects.
