1 killed in eastern Thailand chemical storage tank fire


BANGKOK, May 9 (Xinhua) -- A blaze at a chemical storage tank terminal in eastern Thailand killed one person and injured three others, prompting evacuation orders for nearby communities, the industry ministry said on Thursday.

The fire broke out at about 10:45 a.m. local time in Rayong province. According to the ministry's statement, all activities at the facility have been suspended while an investigation and damage assessment are underway.
