HKSAR gov't underpins all-out efforts to cope with impacts of rainstorm

HONG KONG, May 4 (Xinhua) -- A spokesperson for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government said on Saturday evening that persistent rainstorm has caused flooding and landslides in various areas of Hong Kong, with various departments responding promptly to make every effort to minimize the impacts of heavy rain.

Hong Kong issued a red rainstorm warning signal on Saturday at 8:55 a.m. local time, which was canceled in the afternoon.
