Crude futures settle higher

NEW YORK, April 19 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices inched up on Friday.

The West Texas Intermediate for May delivery went up 41 cents, or 0.5 percent, to settle at 83.14 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for June delivery increased by 18 cents, or 0.21 percent, to settle at 87.29 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
