U.S. stocks close mixed

NEW YORK, April 18 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks ended mixed on Thursday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 22.07 points, or 0.06 percent, to 37,775.38. The S&P 500 sank 11.09 points, or 0.22 percent, to 5,011.12. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 81.87 points, or 0.52 percent, to 15,601.5.
