Crude futures settle mixed

NEW YORK, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices settled mixed on Thursday.

The West Texas Intermediate for May delivery gained 4 cents, or 0.05 percent, to settle at 82.73 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for June delivery dropped 18 cents, or 0.21 percent, to settle at 87.11 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
