Mozambique to start mass production of hydrogen by 2030

MAPUTO, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Mozambican government has set a target of placing the country as one of the leading hydrogen producers in southern Africa by 2030 under the Energy Transition Strategy, the state-run Radio Mozambique reported Friday.

"Mozambique has great potential to develop a hydrogen industry due to its abundant resources. The country has abundant hydroelectric, natural gas, solar and wind energy resources, which can support the production of all types of hydrogen, especially green hydrogen," said the report.
