Support for Germany's far-right AfD reaches six-month low after protests

BERLIN (Reuters) - Support for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) dropped below 20% for the first time since July, a poll published on Tuesday showed, after nationwide protests against the German far-right party over the past three weeks.

Support for the AfD dropped one percentage point to 19% in the Forsa poll. It remained in firm second place behind the main opposition conservatives with 32%, while Chancellor Olaf Scholz's centre-left Social Democrats polled third at 15%.
