CAIRO, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar announced on Friday that the country's population growth rate in 2023 decreased by 8 percent compared to that of 2022.
In a statement, the minister said the number of births during 2023 reached 2.04 million, with a decrease of 149,000 births from the previous year.
