PRAGUE, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Czech Interior Minister Vit Rakusan on Wednesday called on mayors of municipalities and towns in the country not to hold fireworks shows on New Year's Eve this year following a university shooting in Prague.
In a letter to the mayors, Rakusan also called on the local authorities to ask citizens to refrain from using fireworks on Dec. 31.
