Chinese boxer Wang Peicheng lost to world champion Shymbergenov at Hangzhou Asiad

HANGZHOU, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Chinese boxer Wang Peicheng was defeated by world champion Aslanbek Shymbergenov of Kazakhstan in the round of 16 of the men's 71kg category at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Thursday, while his teammates Zhang Jiamao and Yang Wenlu claimed victories to both reach the last eight in the men's 51kg and women's 60kg respectively.

The 21-year-old Wang was unlucky in the draw as he faced Shymbergenov, the world and Asian champion as well as the runner-up of the 2018 Asian Games. Shymbergenov won by 4-0.
