LOS ANGELES, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Tuesday released data on chronic diseases and related risk factors for the year 2022 in the United States.

CDC data include health-related behaviors, chronic health conditions, healthcare access, and use of preventive services in the fields such as alcohol use, cancer screening, diabetes, heart disease, HIV Testing, mental and physical health, and tobacco product use.

The data allows users to understand important health issues in their states and make state comparisons quickly and easily. It also offers various ways to display survey results from more than 445,000 residents across all 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., and participating U.S. territories, said CDC in a statement.

The data from the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System of the country is the largest continuously conducted telephone health survey system in the world. It provides a sound basis for understanding health issues in states, assessing and maintaining public health programs, improving public health, and advancing health equity, according to CDC.
