Saudi Arabia launches project to plant 50 mln mangrove trees by 2030

RIYADH, July 27 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia has launched a project to plant 50 million mangrove trees along its Red Sea coast by 2030, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.

The project, undertaken by the Red Sea Global (RSG) wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, aligns with the Saudi Green Initiative aimed at addressing climate change, said the report.
