Study blames insufficient innovation in private sector for weak productivity in Finland

HELSINKI, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Productivity in Finland has been low in recent years due to insufficient innovation in the private service sector, according to a study published Tuesday by two of the country's leading economic research bodies.

The study by the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (Etla) and the Labor Institute for Economic Research underlines that economic growth and well-being depend on productivity. However, during the past decade, productivity growth in Finland has been weak.
