ADDIS ABABA, April 23 (Xinhua) -- A month-long trade bazaar will be held in Ethiopia's Tigray region to revive business activities, local media reported Saturday.

The Ethiopian Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration said that the month-long trade bazaar will be held in the regional capital Mekelle as well as Wukro, Adigrat and Maychew towns in order to revive business activities across the region, state-run Ethiopian News Agency quoted ministry officials as saying late Saturday.

The trade bazaar, which will kick off on April 29, will be held under the theme "Tigray's Business Activity for Regional Peace," according to the ministry.

This came after land transportation between Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa and Tigray's regional capital Mekelle started earlier on Saturday, according to local media reports.

The gradual resumption of basic services, which include telecommunication, banking and transportation, has come after a permanent cessation of hostilities agreement was signed on Nov. 2 between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People's Liberation Front.
