DAR ES SALAAM, April 16 (Xinhua) -- The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), a global conservation organization, has embarked on a program aimed at protecting water sources for more than 11 million people in Tanzania's Morogoro and Dar es Salaam regions, an official said Sunday.
Happiness Minja, WWF Tanzania program officer for Sustainable Investment for Africa, said under the program, WWF Tanzania will distribute 20,000 tree seedlings to people free of charge for planting around water sources along Uluguru Mountains in Morogoro region.
