Shanghai to host carbon neutrality expo in June


SHANGHAI, March 31 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai will host the first session of an international carbon neutrality expo from June 11 to 14 this year, organizers said Friday.

The Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements will mainly promote and publicize low-carbon technologies, products and achievements to help achieve green and low-carbon development.

The event, themed "Path to Carbon Neutrality," will consist of theme exhibitions, trade matching activities and forums.

The expo is expected to attract over 600 exhibitors from home and abroad, with an exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, according to the Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai.

Zhou Minhao, head of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai, said that more than 80,000 square meters of the exhibition area have been booked.
