U.S. pending home sales increase in February

WASHINGTON, March 29 (Xinhua) -- U.S. pending home sales increased for the third consecutive month in February, according to data released Wednesday from the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Pending home sales, which measure future home sales based on contract signings, saw a 0.8 percent uptick from January, as contract signings increased in three U.S. regions, month on month.

At the same time, pending home sales slid 21.1 percent nationwide compared with the same period a year ago.
