LONDON, March 15 (Xinhua) -- The United Kingdom (UK) will avoid a technical recession this year and the inflation will fall to 2.9 percent by the end of 2023, Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt said on Wednesday.
The fiscal watchdog Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) has forecast that "because of changing international factors and the measures I take, the UK will not now enter a technical recession this year," Hunt said during his Spring Budget 2023 speech.
