U.S. crude oil inventories up: API

HOUSTON, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Wednesday reported an increase of 9.895 million barrels of crude oil in U.S. inventories for the week ending Feb. 17.

Analysts expected a hike of 1.233 million barrels for this week.
