U.S. stocks close sharply higher

NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- U.S. stocks surged on Wednesday.

The Dow rose 2.18 percent to 34,589.77, the S&P 500 increased 3.09 percent to 4,080.11, and the Nasdaq was up 4.41 percent to 11,468.00.
