6 stabbed in front of Las Vegas casino, 1 dead: police


LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- At least six people were stabbed in front of a Las Vegas casino and one victim died, local police said Thursday.

The attack happened at the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, near Encore Resorts Blvd, around noon, according to police.

So far, five victims have been located and have been transported to local hospitals in unknown conditions. Another victim has been declared dead.

A suspect is in custody, police said.

Roads in the area are closed as police investigate the cause of the attack.
