U.S. dollar ticks up


NEW YORK, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar jumped in late trading on Friday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, rose 0.63 percent to 108.1630 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
