WTI crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- U.S. oil prices dropped on Tuesday.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for September delivery lost 2.88 U.S. dollars to settle at 86.53 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
