Gazprom to halt operation of another Nord Stream 1 gas turbine

MOSCOW, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Russian energy giant Gazprom said on Monday it would halt the operation of another Siemens gas turbine at the Portovaya compressor station of the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.

According to a post in Telegram, Gazprom said it would stop the operation of the turbine due to its technical condition, and "due to the end of time between repairs before overhaul."

It added that from 07:00 Moscow time (0400 GMT) on Wednesday, the daily production capacity of the Portovaya compressor station will drop to 33 million cubic meters per day, about 20 percent of the pipeline's capacity.
