WTI crude futures settle lower

NEW YORK, July 6 (Xinhua) -- U.S. oil prices dropped on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for August delivery lost 97 cents to settle at 98.53 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
