Sweden's Sjostrom powers to women's 50m freestyle world title

BUDAPEST, June 25 (Xinhua) -- Sweden's Sarah Sjostrom clinched her second gold medal at the 19th FINA World Championships here on Saturday after storming to victory in the women's 50m freestyle final in 23.98 seconds.

Poland's Katarzyna Wasick took silver in 24.18, while Australia's Meg Harris and America's Erika Brown shared bronze after both touching in 24.38.

China's Zhang Yufei finished fifth in 24.57.

Sjostrom, 28, also won the 50m butterfly title on Friday.
