WTI crude futures tumble over 6 pct on recession fears

NEW YORK, June 17 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil futures prices plunged as much as 6.83 percent on Friday on market concerns over economic recession.

This marks the benchmark's deepest drop since March 31 when the front month crude oil futures prices sank 6.99 percent.
