AMMAN, June 2 (Xinhua) -- The European Union on Thursday launched an investment platform to invest up to 2.5 billion euros (about 2.68 billion U.S. dollars) in Jordan, including in the sectors of water and agriculture.
The deal on launching the platform was signed by European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi with Jordan's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nasser Sharideh on the sidelines of the 14th EU-Jordan Association Council held in the Dead Sea area.
