One militiaman killed in U.S. strikes on militia in Syria - Iraqi militia official

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - At least one fighter was killed and four others were wounded in U.S. air strikes against Iran-backed groups on the Syrian side of the Iraq-Syria border, an Iraqi militia official said on Friday.

Washington indicated the strikes were in response to a series of rocket attacks against U.S. sites in Iraq this month.
