Morocco registers 281 new COVID-19 cases

RABAT, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- Morocco announced on Monday 281 new COVID-19 cases, taking the tally in the North African country to 471,483.

The number of recoveries from the coronavirus in Morocco increased to 450,052 after 892 more were added, while the death toll rose by 12 to 8,287, the ministry of health said in a statement.

Meanwhile, 744 patients are in intensive care units.

The COVID-19 fatality rate in Morocco stands at 1.8 percent while the recovery rate is 95.5 percent.ِ
