NYS COVID-19 hospitalizations down to 8,176, positivity rate up to 4.75 pct: governor

NEW YORK, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- Total COVID-19 hospitalizations reached 8,176 on Friday in New York state, down from 8,357 on Thursday, tweeted Governor Andrew Cuomo on Saturday.

Of the 269,350 COVID-19 tests reported on Friday in the state, 12,804 were positive, or 4.75 percent of the total, up from 4.65 percent one day earlier, said Cuomo, adding that the fatalities went down to 140 on Friday, compared with 151 on Thursday.
