Interview: UK meat exporters urge revamp of customs system to address Brexit delays

LONDON, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- News of rotting British pig heads in the Dutch port of Rotterdam as a result of post-Brexit paperwork made recent headlines. For many in the industry, these delays at the border with the European Union (EU) could have a knock-on effect on business.

Nick Allen, chief executive of the British Meat Processors Association which represents much of the larger meat processors in Britain, told Xinhua that these were "teething problems", but the customs system needs to be revamped to address the concerns of the industry.
