LONDON, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.82 percent, or 118.69 points, to close at 6,407.46 points.
Just Eat Takeaway, an online food order and delivery service, soared 4.00 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Pearson and London Stock Exchange Group increased by 1.58 percent and 0.77 percent, respectively.
Rolls-Royce Holdings, a UK-based engineering company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.41 percent. Prudential, a British multinational life insurance and financial services company, dropped 5.14 percent. M&G, an international investment manager, fell 4.45 percent.
